I am planning to open a new Services cleaning company in . San Diego California. What are the requirements for cleaning legal registration?

As of 3/1/2024 12:00 AM in San Diego, cleaning companies need to be recorded within the jurisdiction in which they operate because all business or activity income from profit is taxable and consequently the business must be registered. In addition if the fictitious name is "very nice and clean cleaning," that name is a trade name and must be registered with a DBA (about $39 plus state fees), LLC, or Corporation.Note: All businesses, including online and home businesses, must file a DBA Fictitious Business Name

You have a choice to register a fictitious business name or form an LLC or incorporate. Also note that even using your first and last name may not help you avoid filing a DBA if the name has a suffix such as "& associates" etc.
